NSDAR Media and Entertainment Award (12/31/22)

Hello Daughters,

The deadline for the National Society Media and Entertainment Award is upon us. Submissions must be in to National by 12/31.

What is the Media and Entertainment Award?

Media and entertainment awards recognize work that promotes education, historic preservation, or patriotism within motion picture, radio, and television. The national NSDAR Media and Entertainment Award is presented annually at Continental Congress.

If there is a program or individual that is nationally recognized and your chapter would like to nominate the program or person for the National Society Award you can do so by doing the following:

• Send a nomination letter to the National Vice Chairman, DAR Media and Entertainment Award. Nominated programs should have been released or have aired new episodes during the current DAR year.
• Include contact information for the honoree or program with the nomination letter. Please submit not only the name of the project but also the person associated with the project, if known.
• Nominees for the national award need not be from the chapter's local area.
• Deadline: Send nominations to the National Vice Chair, Stephani Roohani (prm.entertainmentaward@nsdar.org) by December 31.

Please note that individuals who receive this award are to be recognized for their media work, not for work or activism outside of the industry.
