In addition to the usual activities of the DAR Service for Veterans Committee, the New York State Daughters provide material support to the Veteran Patients Education Resource Center at the Buffalo VA Medical Center, Buffalo, NY, and to the Batavia-VA Medical Center in Batavia, NY.   These Resource Centers, are multi-purpose reference/resource centers where patients and their families can learn more about the patients' illness and how to cope with their effects. Support by the New York Daughters over the years has included items such as a multi-purpose fax machine, the Eldercare Series of health books, a photocopier, and a computer workstation. The DAR insignia is the property of, and is copyrighted by, the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
