State Theme:
Through Service and Friendship We Grow
Friends are Forever

"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted."
~Ecclesiastes 3:1-2

"Those who wait upon the Lord shall mount up on wings as Eagles.  They shall run and not be weary.  They shall walk and not faint."
~Isaiah 40:31

Welcome to the New York State Organization, NSDAR, website. What a pleasure it is to greet you as the 41st New York State Regent. The New York State Officers join me in extending to you a warm and welcoming greeting as we begin the 2007-2010 Administration.

Since 1890 the members in New York State have upheld the objectives of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution to preserve history, further education, and promote patriotism.

Increasing membership will be the main emphasis during this administration. The DAR can serve America only if it maintains a growing membership. We need to increase membership in our chapters and also "provide for membership growth by taking a deliberate role in the development of new chapters." We want to bring DAR to the college and university campus, working women, retirement communities, small towns, and large cities. We WELCOME YOU!

This website will hopefully give you the information you are seeking, whether you are currently a member of the DAR, a prospective member, or you are trying to find out more about the DAR.  Please click on the links that are most relevant to you.

Best regards,
Gretta Archer
New York State Regent
