The Skenandoah Chapter, NSDAR, was organized on November 10, 1902, in Oneida Castle, New York.  The name "Skenandoah" was chosen in honor of Chief Skenandoah of the Oneida Tribe for his services to the colonists during the American Revolution.

The chapter is currently recruiting new members and meets on the second Thursday afternoon of the month.
