The Ruth Floyd Woodhull Chapter, NSDAR was organized on February 26, 1927, in Freeport, New York. It is named in honor of Ruth Floyd Woodhull, Revolutionary War patriot, sister of William Floyd, and wife of General Nathaniel Woodhull.

The chapter has 45 members and meets on the first Saturday afternoon of each month.
