Mary Jemison Chapter
Daughters of the American Revolution
Warsaw, New York
The Mary Jemison Chapter, NSDAR, was organized on November 14, 1925, in Warsaw, New York. Mary Jemison, "The White Women of the Genesee," was taken captive as a young girl on April 15, 1758, by the Iroquois. She stayed with them, raised a family, and came to the Genesee Valley where land was given to her. She had a long life and has a book written about her life experiences.
The Mary Jemison Chapter meetings take place on the fourth Friday of each month, April through November.
